My Mentor: Producer Kenny Utt

kenny uttKenneth Utt was the legendary New York producer who won an Oscar for The Silence of the Lambs. He began his career as an actor and a singer studying at The Julliard before making his way to Broadway. He transitioned from acting to stage managing in the theater and carried that over to the dynamic New York television scene in the 50’s. Although he came to feature films later in his career that is where he made his mark. In addition to winning the Oscar, Kenny made such films as Midnight Cowboy, The French Connection, All That Jazz and Philadelphia. Kenny’s legacy is carried on by the hundreds of people he mentored throughout his career.
